‘97 – Theatre
Alexandre Corazzola (*1978) grew up in Düsseldorf, Munich and Vienna. At 17 he moved to the United States to attend the Idyllwild Arts Academy and later on Western Michigan University. In 2005 he received his MFA in Scenic and Costume Design from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Back in Europe he initially worked as an assistant for the Salzburg Festival, Pina Bausch, the Vienna State Opera, the Schaubühne Berlin and the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg. In 2008 he became a freelance designer working all over Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France for such renowned companies as the Schauspiel Frankfurt, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Staatsoper Hannover, Schauspielhaus Graz, Opéra National de Strasbourg and Théatre Athenée Paris.
Alexandre is an alumn of the Deutsche Bank Foundation and the International Forum of Theater Treffen. Two shows featuring his set and costume designs were nominated for the prestigious German theatre award „Faust-Preis“.
