Attorney Dobrina M. Dobreva

Class of ’02

Attorney Dobrina M. Dobreva was born in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. She came to Idyllwild, California, when she was seventeen years old, on a full scholarship as a violin performance student at Idyllwild Arts Academy. After graduation from high school, Dobrina continued her education, on a full artistic scholarship at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. Dobrina graduated from SMU in 2006, with a B.A. in Music and a B.A. in International Studies. After graduating from SMU, Dobrina moved to San Diego, California to peruse her legal education at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. During law school, Dobrina worked at various non-profit organizations, advocating for immigrant rights and handling asylum, VAWA, and U visa cases. After law school, Dobrina continued to serve the immigrant community by focusing on EB-5 investors’ visa, Deportation Defense, and Board of Immigration Appeals cases.

In 2012, Dobrina moved back to Dallas, TX to join Infosys Ltd. as an in-house immigration attorney focusing on employment based immigration. In 2013, Dobrina accepted a job with ZeOmega, Inc, a private software company in Frisco, TX, as an in-house immigration attorney. Currently, Dobrina focuses her practice on employment based immigration, helping IT executives and professionals, artists and musicians with extraordinary abilities in the arts, to obtain permanent residence (green card) and temporary work visas such as H-1B, L-1A, and L-1B.
